Global certification rules — apply across every applicable document

Certified True Copy: Certified by a lawyer or notary public in the jurisdiction where the applicant is physically located (or a legal consultant in the UAE). The original physical document must be presented to the certifier. The certification date must be within 6 months of submission.
Affidavits: Witnessed by a lawyer or notary public in the applicant's jurisdiction, or remotely by a Grenadian notary public.
Form 1 (Personal Information): Witnessed by a lawyer or notary public in-jurisdiction, or remotely by a Grenadian notary public.
Oath of Allegiance: Sworn before a Notary Public or Commissioner for Taking Oaths in-jurisdiction, remotely by a Grenadian notary public, or before a Head of Mission appointed as Commissioner for Taking Oaths. Required only for applicants aged 18+ and submitted after approval, not at initial filing.
Attestation Forms: Witnessed remotely by a Grenadian Notary Public, or by a lawyer/notary in-jurisdiction (or a legal consultant in the UAE). The original physical document must be presented to the certifier and the certification date must be within 6 months of receipt.
Fingerprints (Form 2): No applicant signature. Rolled and certified by police or immigration authorities, forensic experts, or a licensed fingerprinting service in the country where they are taken.
Translation: Any notarial certificate not already in English must be translated by a certified translator who signs, dates and stamps the translation in English. The translation is submitted alongside the original.
Apostille: Apostilled documents follow the same physical-presence and certifier rules as Certified True Copies.
Language of submission: All final documents, regardless of original language, must be submitted to the IMA in English.

Form 1 – Personal Information

Notes: One form per person, including any non-applying spouse and financial sponsor.

The core IMA form. Every field must be completed — blanks cause rejection. For a child of 16 or under the Main Applicant signs, not the child.

Form 2 – Fingerprints

Certification: Rolled and certified by police/immigration authorities, a forensic expert, or a licensed fingerprinting service in the country where they are taken.
Translation: If the document or the notarial certificate is not in English, a certified translator must sign, date and stamp an English translation, submitted alongside the original.
Validity: 6 months from certification
Notes: Only required for persons aged 17 and over.

The applicant does not sign this form. Smudged or partial rolls are the most common reason for a re-take — check every finger box before accepting the scan.

Form 3 – Particulars for the Office of Home Affairs

Notes: Signing rule differs by age: 12–16 sign their own; 11 and under are signed for.

Children from 12 sign their own Form 3 provided they can write. Below 12 the Main Applicant signs on their behalf.

Form 4 – Medical Certificate

Notes: Includes the required HIV test result.

Short validity — only 3 months. Do not collect this early in the file or it will expire before submission.

Form 5 – Employment Status, Source of Funds & Business Affiliations

Everything in the Financial & Source of Funds section must trace back to what is declared here. If money later moves from a different account, a fresh Form 5 must be filed.

Form 6 – Investment Confirmation Form

The declared investment must match the route on the case exactly, including the project name for real estate files.

Interview Application Form

Book the interview slot as soon as due diligence clears — scheduling, not paperwork, is usually what delays approval here.

The notary's stamp must be in English — if it is not, a certified English translation must be attached and separately signed, dated and stamped by the translator.

Passport Application Form

Names must be spelled exactly as they appear on the birth certificate, not as on the current foreign passport if the two differ.

Bank Source of Wealth Form

Bank templates differ from Form 5. Answers on both must agree — any inconsistency triggers a fresh round of queries.

Oath of Allegiance

Notes: Required from the country of birth, country of citizenship, and any country of residence of 12 months or more in the past 10 years.

Count the jurisdictions before ordering. Missing a country of residence is the single most common cause of due-diligence delay.

Deed Poll / Name Change Certificate

The letter must confirm full-time status and the expected completion date, not merely that the person is registered.

Certificate of Medical Dependency
